rites-institute: Friedemann Derschmidt / Karin Schneider
is an independend studio of two curators from Vienna/Austria, who work also as artists and researchers
For 12 years they are doing collaborative art- and researchprojects and art works in the open space. 7
Friedemann Derschmidt, born 1969, has studied art in Vienna, is employed in the Academy of fine Art in Vienna as a lecturer and researcher for Videoart
Karin Schneider, born 1969, has studied history, she was the head of the art-education departement (2000-2007) in the Museum of Modern Art in Vienna (MUMOK) and works now as a researcher in the field of musuemscommunication (project: science with all senses – the making of science and gender in the museum)
